Welcome to Moped!

Moped is a website for multicultural education. The site is aimed at teachers, and parents and pupils of multicultural background. The site is mainly in Finnish language, but there are some links to sources of other languages as well. Moped offers information for and about daily life at school in Finland.

Moped was a part of virtual school of multicultural education partly funded by the National Board of Education (of Finnish government).

The website was originally created in February 2002 and has been developing since. There were several municipalities in Finland taking part in this project and hence Moped expanded fast. The national virtual school project ended in 2007 and the site is no longer kept up-to-date.
